Basic Fitness for Life

Do you look around and see friends, family members, or even you struggling to move around? Are you constantly fighting to find the time to take care of yourself, manage your home, and/or do the things you love? EfficientlyELITE is here to change that.

We’re born into incredibly complex systems, and it’s difficult to find clear instructions on how to do the basics well.

From going on a walk, to doing the dishes or planning an event with friends, the regular actions in our lives often deserve more thought than we ever think to give. Unfortunately, we often categorize life’s recurring actions as easy or simple, avoiding study of how they should be done until we find ourselves overwhelmed, suffering from injuries, and/or facing tension between ourselves and loved ones.

EfficientlyELITE exists to make learning movement, home maintenance, and interpersonal relationship building possible regardless of our time constraints and experience. Time is precious and so are our bodies, and EfficientlyELITE aims to lower the barrier to healthy life so that we can continue to build ourselves sustainably and spend more time doing what we enjoy.

EfficientlyELITE strives to serve as a resource that helps its readers learn build thoughtful and effective systems and practices. In that pursuit, I hope to aid readers in identifying quality resources while also avoiding unsustainable and senselessly consumptive practices. Smart, practical decisions will help us build a life that fits our goals without unnecessary costs to our environment and communities.

About Me

I have always been interested in learning what my body can do. We watch athletes break records and improve on past techniques, learning to run, jump, and move better. It’s truly fascinating to see what well-trained athletes can do.

However, we tend to see more young athletes severely and irreparably injure themselves than we do make college or professional teams. Similarly, we regularly watch young non-athlete professionals suffer traumatic injuries when they return to athletics through club sports or adult leagues. Sports can be great hobbies, careers, and events. However, they come with serious risks and should not serve as everyone’s ultimate metric in determining how to live a fit and healthy lifestyle.

With that said, it’s hard to balance health, home life, and overall well-being.

In the pursuit of a balanced lifestyle, we often hear that there’s never enough time. While it’s impossible to do everything, I find that deliberate effort to understand our basic needs can help build days that accommodate, fun, freedom, and the ability to keep moving safely and athletically.

I am passionate about learning how to manage life’s common requirements efficiently so that there is more time for everything else. As a full-time office employee, I recognize how difficult it can be to balance daily work, home chores, physical health, and the unpredictability of life. I want to help readers take control over their physical health and daily life so that they have more time at their discretion.

It is important to acknowledge that fitness can be achieved in a variety of ways and gym numbers aren’t everything. Ultimately, our fitness path and home system must be designed to serve our needs. When we build a system designed to handle what we most commonly do, it is more likely to last.

I hope to serve as a resource and provide intuitive practices to prevent painful delays in our growth. We can take more responsibility for our physical health, and I hope to answer the questions younger me struggled with in his pursuit of fitness.

And with that, I thank you for taking the time to help me create the best resource possible for those seeking to learn about their physical self and how we can make more room for our passions. As always, reach out to me with questions, requests, and critiques so that I can continue to build this resource and learn from readers like you.
